@alnajm – I see a popup in the page’s html, but it has no triggers added. If you want it to appear right away add a Time Delay trigger to the popup. If you want it to only show once, be sure to choose to add a cookie and choose “On Popup Close” so that it gets disabled when they close the popup.

If you want it to open on click of an element, that requires additional setup to associate the popup with the correct elements.

Most of this can be picked up in a few minutes in our extensive documentation for getting started: https://docs.wppopupmaker.com/category/23-getting-started

Also I see that your popup has a name that has non UTF characters, though it shouldn’t cause any problems in most cases, there are some cases where it can be an issue, so just be aware. You can always use a numeric name one with UTF characters.

Hope that helps. If your issue is resolved please take a moment to rate and review the plugin or support.

That solved the problem. Thank you very much!
But I want to say: it is surprising that this plugin does not work out-of-the-box. It really needs a lot of work to be done before it works.

@alnajm – I’m not sure how you mean.

    1. Activate plugin.
    2. Popup Maker -> Add New.
    3. Give it a name. Add some content.
    4. Add a trigger (the first setting available after content).

The rest is fluff and customization to suit your needs.

The only part that you missed was step #4, but if we defaulted it to a time delay trigger for each popup, people would complain they constantly need to disable that, mainly because the number one usage is click triggers, often from menus or buttons.

Most people have it set up in just a few minutes using our documentation or videos on youtube. I’d love to hear more about what exactly got you stuck. So we do listen to our users, that is how I know making it just work isn’t an effective strategy for our general users.

We would also love to get you to update that review you left now that you can see the plugin works as expected.

    Hope that helps.

Actually, I did add a trigger but it did not work. The reason was because there are 2 different kinds of triggers and it seems that I chose the wrong one. The correct trigger is Time Delay trigger. By now I know that Time Delay trigger does what I need. Nevertheless, I honestly do not know what are the rest of settings good for.
I have edited my review so that I give you 5 stars.
    Best regards

@alnajm – Much appreciated. I would invite you to check out our documentation. It covers what all the settings do in details: https://docs.wppopupmaker.com.

Glad you got it worked out.
