I found a GA tracking code (UA-48513475-1) active on my website today. After disabling Shareaholics, the code was deactivated. Did the plugin place this code on my site? I do not see this functionality clearly stated in your privacy policy, it only mentions user cookies.

  • Hi There – Were you using the latest version of the plugin? That should not occur if you’re using version 7+.

I am facing the same issue.
I am using the Shareaholic for WordPress v7.6.1.2

And I see the following GA codes on my site:
    UA-12964573-5
    UA-48513475-1
    UA-12964573-14
    UA-12964573-15

How to get rid of these?
Would these be responsible for taking down the traffic by 95% suddenly?

    Thanks
    Samkit

The service uses GA to proactively detect and monitor any client side front-end bugs in real-time so we can detect/fix them across devices/OS’s/etc. It’s core to how we are able to deliver a service with minimal bugs, maintain and improve service performance and support so many sites on so many platforms with a small team. It should not effect your own GA based tracking in any way at all.

You can however turn off/on this feature at any time, here are the instructions:
