Yes, as explained on the plugin homepage, installation instructions, settings page, Help tab, readme.txt, and elsewhere, page-cache plugins prevent dynamic plugins like Blackhole from operating correctly.
Not sure how I could have made it more clear for you..? And is it fair to rate negative for something the plugin clearly explains up-front..?
Yes, but still. It’s a pretty big drawback since a big percentage of websites use cache plugins to be fair.
Shouldn’t a product be judged based on what it says on the tin? Can/should it be expected to do even more than advertised?
I wouldn’t leave a negative review for a boat because I can’t drive it around the streets. I mean, it’s a pretty big drawback since a big percentage of people use roads to be fair.
I get your point. I will remove the negative review, but hopefully you can make the plugin work with cache in the future because it seems very effective. Does your other firewall plugin work with cache?
I am working on a possible solution for sites with caching. It’s difficult due to the nature of page caching and the variety of different cache techniques, scripts, plugins, etc. Definitely working on it though.
In the meantime, yes my firewall plugin (BBQ) works well with caching.
Thanks @jezkerw, let me know if I can provide any further information.
