Did I upgrade or not?

How can I be sure I have version 2.6.2
When I try and run the upgrade.php file I think it tells me I have the latest version. However I still get the bar on my wp-admin panel saying i need to Update Now? I am a newbie on here so this may be somehting simple I did but not sure. Thanks for the help.
