DID change permalinks-still 4O4

Arne, thanks for your work, I’m not a techie. I read sticky post, TOO COMPLEX! I get 404’s as I changed original post urls to drop date, to just show post title. YES i changed it in permalinks, and all Google error are sitemap still leading to old posts written like: http://yogablissdance.com/2010/04/detox-from-winter-blossom-into-spring/, they are now to be found here: http://yogablissdance.com/detox-from-winter-blossom-into-spring. I DID CHANGE PERMALINKS AND SAVE. LOOKING INTO sitemap it appears urls are correct so not sure why this is happening!
SHOULD I GO INTO HOSTING ACCT, and do redirects?? PAIN AS THERE ARE LOTS OF THEM.
