As per your request – here is the ticket

The discount code does not work – i have created discount codes and on check on no place to apply code – i have gone through your documentation and it just covers how to set it up – which is easy and even a mouse could do it, but what it does not tell you is how to include the space on the check out.

the field call discounts in my form is self created and does not serve any function.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi Theo, thank you for reaching out to Paid Memberships Pro.

I’ve taken a look at your checkout page however I’ve noticed a few things that can be causing this issue (in order of priority)

    1. You are using a custom checkout template which is not compatible with Version 3.0+. Please navigate to Memberships > Settings > Pages and scroll down to the Custom Templates section – select the option to use the ‘Core PMPro Template’ for the checkout template and let me know if the issue persists.
    2. You are currently using PMPro 3.0.3 however your levels and checkout page references ?level=X while PMPro 3.0+ requires that the checkout page uses ?pmpro_level=X to avoid any conflicts with other plugins
    3. Your checkout page is duplicated and shows multiple times on the page – this can cause issues in some cases.

If point 1 can be fixed this will likely fix all of the issues you are experiencing with the discount code during checkout.

Please reach out to your theme author/developer and see if they can update your theme’s checkout.php template to be 3.0+ compatible so that you can continue using it.

    Kind Regards,

I thought to check in here Theo, did you manage to get this working correctly?

There is a link at the top of the checkout page, under the pricing “Do you have a discount code? Click here to enter your discount code” which once clicked will allow customers to enter their discount code.

I have found a code snippet online to show the field and don’t require an extra click to display this field which may be implemented by a local developer or freelancer for you – https://gist.github.com/ipokkel/e14efc2e62f3fd1114e0e4c65d6f2c0e

I’ve had a look at your checkout page again and saw you created a custom field called “Discounts” is this what you are referring to that isn’t working? If you need to apply a discount based off a custom field, this would require extensive custom coding to achieve.

I hope this helps clear things up.

    Kind Regards,
    Andrew

To add the custom code to your site, please can you follow this guide – https://www.paidmembershipspro.com/create-a-plugin-for-pmpro-customizations/

We recommend using a plugin like Code Snippets to add custom PHP code to your site.
