dfactory & hu-manity: who is the developer?

Hello,

could you please clarify who is hu-manity, and which is the relationship with dfactory – the original developer of the plugin.

Who has now the development responsibility and code ownership for this plugin – and subsequent liability.

I’m concerned about the plugin security: a common malware/adware deploy pattern is acquiring free good software and using its updates as a trojan horse.
