    Hi,

My Jetpack shows “In Development Mode, via the JETPACK_DEV_DEBUG constant being defined in wp-config.php or elsewhere.”

I never put it in development mode.

I need my jetpack to monitor as I have been having attacks, now I cannot access that part of the plugin. How to get out of this development mode issue?

If you didn’t add Development mode yourself, I can see of three different reasons why it would be enabled:

    • You’re working on a test site in a local environment (localhost). If that’s the case, your site isn’t publicly accessible and Jetpack automatically turns on Development mode for you so you can still use the Jetpack features that do not require a connection to WordPress.com.
    • Another admin or your hosting provider have added the JETPACK_DEV_DEBUG constant to your site’s wp-config.php file. You can remove that constant by editing the file.
    • Another plugin on your site is enabling Jetpack Development Mode. If that’s the case, you should be able to find out what plugin enables Dev Mode by deactivating them all, one at a time, until you find the source of the issue.

Let me know how that goes!

You were right on number 2, turned out the hosting provider left it in – Thanks so much Jeremy!
