Support » Themes and Templates » Developing theme for possible distribution. Can css grids be used?

I’m making a theme for my own needs, but I may end up distributing it.

Regarding distribution version: If I use Blueprint css (http://www.blueprintcss.org/) can the theme be made available to the masses with blueprint included in it?

Are there ways to get “base code” for the template files that can be built on, or do I have to do it all from scratch to avoid copyright issues?

Both questions are asking the same thing: Can I use established code and if so, how do I know if it can be redistributed?

Thanks in advance. I know image copyright fairly well, but I’m new to the world of code copyright.

You need to ensure that any code you use is licensed under GPL.

Thank you very much for the answer.
I’ll look into GPL in greater depth right now.
GPL by default allows redistribution whether free or profit? Naturally I’d give credit to the source, but I just need to make sure.

Yes. In essence, the end user can do whatever they want with the code.
