• This plug-in, first-time installed, detected language “” (was supposed to detect German). Do I have to carry that wrong start all the way through my web-site’s life? Can’t see where to set it right MANUALLY.

Could you please provide a button to switch-off wizard and help for experienced users?

Mille grazie!

Second attempt, with a WP Standard Theme, same result

detected language
“” was automatically added to your languages.

Update your posts language
Click here to assign “” to existing posts and pages.

Hi,
I’ll try to figure out why language detection is failed…
Anyway you can switch off the wizard by clicking on Step 3 and clicking on “Done, close the wizard”.

To set German language to existing posts just:
1) Add German to “My Language”
2) Set as default ( red hart )
3) Click on the link “here” ( Click here to assign “” to existing posts and pages. )

In the step 3 the plugin just use the default language to assign to all posts.

That’s exactly how I did it. Does “uninstall” also delete Ceceppa preferences?

This procedure cannot be undone!!!

This procedure will remove ONLY plugin data, posts and other data will NOT be erased.

Otherwise could you tell me which pref.-file to delete or rename to obtain a virgin reinstall?

Uninstall delete Ceceppa preferences and database tables, everything plugin’s stuffs 🙂

This is the only procedure to obtain a virgin installation…

The problem is, that still the Ceceppa tool is in English (the rest of WP is in German. Assuming that there is a German translation available, I am not sure which functionality consequences arise…

Couldn’t you just implement a manual setting for Ceceppa interface / main language, (uncheck autodetect)?

The language detecting again failed: new site-setup, using the ugly using “Twenty Fourteen” theme.

Wizards may be nice, if they work, but now I am stuck with my pages and posts with no language assigned. <img src=’http://s28.postimg.org/41ydi02qx/Screenshot_2.jpg’ border=’0′ alt=”Screenshot 2″ />

I note that in /wp-admin/options-general.php there is no language set — even I after I have saved the settings.

New WP-install starting with such frustration?

Please implement a wizard override with manual lang-set.!!!

Please open your wp-config.php file and look up for a string like this:

define ('WPLANG', '');

and after tell me which value is used as second parameter.

PS. DON’T past the whole content of the file here, just that line 🙂

Thread Starter Tanganjika

(@tanganjika)

In one case it was define('WPLANG', '');
In another this paragraph was missing at all!

Maybe this relates from installing WP with the Softaculous Apps Installer from cPanel?

I wrote there by myself: define('WPLANG', 'en_GB');

Restarting Ceceppa Wizard results in:

detected language
"" was automatically added to your languages.

I tried the same with ‘en_US’, even logged-off/on WP => same result; “”

If only using computers contained more logic…

Try with 1.4.34, there was a bug in language detection routine

Thread Starter Tanganjika

(@tanganjika)

Nope! After update restarting Ceceppa Wizard still results in:

detected language
"" was automatically added to your languages.

You are welcome to check yourself, for log-in data refer to the other issue with the double posts.

And thanks a lot for the good support 😀
