Detail/alt view of an image

A client wants to be able to show either a detail view of an image, or an alternate view of an image. I’m trying to figure out if this is possible, using NextGen Gallery.

I’m thinking that the lightbox view would somehow be clickable and would take you to the detail… or perhaps contain a link to a detail (which might open in another lightbox window?)

Any thoughts/ideas? Thanks in advance.
