• This plugin is not compatible with the latest version of BuddyPress.

After installing this plugin, the website became more than strangely text-based! So after uninstalling it the website went back to normal again.

    Hi there!

That cant be like that, as plugin is well tested and even at demo website latest BuddyPress version is used:

And there is no issues with that as confirmed by thousands of users, there should be some other issue in your website, which making the problems.

    Thanks!

Just wanted to voice that most users have an absolutely wonderful experience with Better Messages. Always reach out to developers when issues arise.

I need my plugins and my theme, therefore I cannot have this plugin installed.

Is it the plugins? Is it the theme? Swap the theme temporarily to see if that helps. If it’s not the theme, open a tab with all your activated plugins; open a separate tab to deactivate some or all. One by one activate the plugins and refresh the site. Use the initial plugin browser tab to make it easy which plugins to re-activate. At some point you’ll stumble upon the text based issue and understand which plugin is coming into conflict. Once you know which plugin, reach out to the developer to see what can be done. Better messages is the best message plugin in WordPress for communities and is absolutely worth troubleshooting. You’ll also learn to better diagnose your site when these conflicts happen. The deeper you go in the web world, the more common this is. But every issue is resolvable, just requires patience. I’ve been able to work out some rather complex web sites this way.

    Warm regards, Josh.

No, I’m not going to change my theme or anything.

My website is working as it should, no need to change anything like that.
