• I am using the free version of WPTouch and all was well until a couple of days ago some users reported the default front page started showing the mobile theme even on their desktops!

I am considering purchasing the new PRO version, but I want to know if this might be a mistake considering the issue above. How does the PRO version possibly resolve my concern?

    Thanks anyone!

  • It sounds as if you have a caching plugin serving cached mobile pages that are blocking your live site. You may configure your caching plugin not to cache mobile pages nor to serve cached pages when mobile devices are detected. To do so, enter the user agents found under Advanced Options > Custom User-Agents to the “rejected user agents” areas in your caching plugin’s settings. Remember to clear your plugin, browser, and device caches before retesting.

This remains so whether using the WPtouch or WPtouch Pro.

I had the same problem which appeared out of the blue in the last 24 hours. I notice that you have, also apparently in the last 24 hours, released:

    Version 3.1.1 (Dec 6th, 2013)

    Updated: Everything.
    Changed: Everything.
    Fixed: Everything.

Updating the plug-in fixes the issue.

Hi there! I was having the same issue, and had a notification to configure my W3 Total Cache. The same fix you were mentioning above to Tabrildur. Where can i get a list of “User agent list for configuring cache plugins“? Its only avail to Pro members. I’m using the free version

    Thanks in advance 🙂

Hello fumbling, try the following and see if that works for you. These are the two user agents I have set up for Hyper cache plugin.

    wptouch-pro-view
    wptouch_switch_toggle

    Kind regards

    folks:

How do I configure WP Super Cache to work best with the free version of WPTouch?

Any major changes I should make?
