Hello – I noticed that I no longer have the “Design” menu item under the Ecwid WordPress plugin Configuration section. I use this a lot and would like to have it back please.
    Can you help?

Also, this also happened on the staging site here: https://dev.biocidelabs.com/

    Thank you!

    Hi @wynot

This is Lullaby from Ecwid Support Team! Thanks for your question.

The “Design” menu item of your Ecwid Admin in WordPress has been intentionally hidden because the WordPress design setup requires you to change design settings in the block where your Ecwid plugin is added.

I’ll tell you how to change your store design on WordPress below:

    1. Go to WordPress Dashboard -> Pages and open the page with the store.
    2. Click on the block with the store. On the right side, you will see the block’s settings.
    3. Change the settings in the block the way you need.
    4. Click on the Preview button to see what the store will look like with the new settings.
    5. Click on the Update button to save the changes.

After these steps you will have your store design changed.

If you change store design settings in the Design tab directly in your Ecwid Admin at my.ecwid.com, these settings won’t reflect on your website as they will be overwritten by the block’s settings.

Hope this info helps! Feel free to reach out to us if any questions arise!

    Hi again @wynot

It’s Amy from the Ecwid team. We’re contacting you again because we need to make sure that it’s not an issue.

Let me explain how it works. If you use the standard page builder for WordPress (Gutenberg), there’s no Design tab, indeed, and you should change design settings in the block where your Ecwid plugin is added.

Though, if you use some other page builder like Elementor, WP Bakery, Divi, etc. the Design tab should be present. Please, let me know if the latter is suited to your case and we’ll investigate the issue further.

    Thank you!

    Thank you for your response.
Here’s the problem.. I need the “Design” menu back on my site because I have a custom theme I created and I will need access to it in order to make changes and updates. The block editor will not work for me here because I have made many changes to the css in my custom theme and now I can’t access it from my website. Does that make sense?
    Hope you can help.

    Hi,

In this case, you can access the Design tab by following the direct link, here it is: https://my.ecwid.com/#design

    Hope this helps!
