  • Hey all, for once I’m looking for a little bit of feedback on the future of my site. Some of you may be aware that I am about to under go a re-launch of my site. As part of this, I’m renaming my site, and refocusing back on it’s intent, all about writing. To that end, I also want a new look. So far, I’ve come up with two. I’ve posted the screen shots in this psot of mine:

I’d like to get some feedback. If you could take just one minute to take a look, and respond back, here or at my site, that would jsut be peachy-keen.

    Thanks in advance,

  • I like #2. But that’s because I don’t generally stay for even 30 secs on a site that’s dark/black like #1. I’m a writer myself, I don’t DO black – it drags you down, puts you in permanent “blockland”….

Go for 2, TG…. the rest of your restructuring only makes sense if you “come into the light”…. btw, you are probably the only person I’ve ever run into anywhere who is into NaNoWriMo…..

I’d agree with #2. The thing I don’t like about #1 is the vertical chain thing you have going which gets in the way of your sidebar which I find kinda annoying.

One more proof we never really read each others blog *wink*

    – and quote from the site:

“NOTE: Please excuse the look of the menu in Tannagh Gazette 1, it’s still undergoing its facelift.”

lol i just went and looked at the pictures.

Definitely the white. I think black is stylish, but writers tend to pack a lot of words in there, and it’s easier to read on white.

I write, too, but I can’t do NaNoWriMo. OMG, the pressure! *g*

The completely black theme didn’t work for me, and I know it’s going under a facelift, but the bling bling is a real turn off. numero 2, with extra ketchup, hold the courgettes

I have a really hard time reading white letters on black background when the font is small. Number 2 is just easier on the eyes when reading. I know at least one blogger whose writing I really like but I don’t visit often because it’s a similar theme to your number 1. I have to zoom the text (fortunately that part is easy in Firefox) but it zooms it for every website I visit after that until I shut down the browse. That means shutting down every other tab in my browser and restarting before I head off to any other site.
