 * does the Description variable of your short-code go to Stripe as Description?
 * This would be very useful, so the Receipt sent out from Stripe contains also 
   the initial Description for the customer.

 * Yes! The description argument of the Shortcode is used in the modal form and 
   also sent as description in the charge being created with Stripe API.
