• Hi,
I’m using All in One SEO, and have the Home Description reading “Nice gifts for people who don’t want flowers”. However, when Google pulls up the site in results, the description is my company details (VAT number, Returns Policy etc) which is in the footer of each page. How do I get it to pay more attention to the description I’ve entered?

Please provide the URL for our homepage.

You cannot force Google to use your titles or descriptions, they will display what they think is most relevant to the search term that was entered in Google search.

it’s http://www.deathtoflowers.co.uk – I filled in the All in One SEO stuff in the hope that that was coded in such a way to “convince” google of the most relevant stuff, is that not the case?

All in One SEO Pack is displaying this as the Meta Description on the homepage –

Nice gifts for people who don’t want flowers

Google will choose whether to use this or not. You cannot force Google to use it.
