 * Hello – I was curious if there was a way to have thumbnail gallery with the descriptions
   only displaying when the image is clicked upon in the light box and not below
   the image in its respective gallery. I appreciate your time.

   will only appear under the thumbnails when you use the “caption” template … as
   to the Lightbox, not all of the bundled Lightbox libraries display the same details,
   have you tried different ones?
 * You are also welcome to use an external Lightbox Effect as we only bundle the
   ones with NextGEN Gallery as a convenience.
