At the moment, the data source in the shortcode differs from that in the Traffic Summary widget (Overview page).
- In the Shortcode, we count the views from the
wp_statistics_visit table.
- In the Traffic Summary widget, we count the views from the
wp_statistics_visitor table.
This difference in how views are counted is likely causing the mismatch in numbers. Normally, data is synchronized across different tables in the database, but it seems there might have been an issue preventing the views from syncing properly.
I have escalated this matter to our team for further review and investigation. We will get back to you once we have an update.

I’m pleased to share that we’ve released version 14.13 of WP Statistics, which includes a fix for the shortcode data.
The data source used in the shortcode is now consistent with the Traffic Summary widget (Overview page).
Please update the plugin to the latest version and enjoy!

Thank you for circling around with this Matthew. Unfortunately I have had to move to a different stats package as I found the results I was getting with WP Stats very unreliable.
