desactivate WYSIWYG

  • Hello,

    Loading the posting page (wp-admin/post.php) is pretty slow. I would like to know how to desactivate the WYSIWYG text editor, as it’s rather long to load it.

    I also would like to know how to get rid of, in the same page, upload ; optional except, trackback, custom field. And about the preview, is it possible to have a link where we click on it to see the preview ? Because I don’t always look a the preview page but it loads each time and it slower the posting page.

    Many thanks,

  • To switch the WYSIWYG editor off, go to your User page and scroll to the bottm. the Option is there.

    To remove the preview, put this at the bottom of your wp-admin/wp-admin.css file:

    .wrap#preview {
    display:none;
    }

    as of right now I can’t figure the other bit. If I do later, I’ll be back 🙂

    Thank you very much, it is still pretty slow, anyone have any tips ?
