• Any way we could use dependent variations? For example, let’s say we have a product car. If you choose BMW, you can also choose color (red, white etc…) but if you choose Mercedes you can’t choose color.

    The way I see it you must select (or choose any) an option for every attribute you have, but I need to omit a certain attribute for selection if a certain previous option is selected.

  • Your variations list can contain only those permutations which you supply, not necessarily all permutations.

    If a user selects BMW / red, they must click “clear selection” to start again.

    Yes, but we can’t choose just Mercedes, we must also choose a color, because that option is also added as an attribute. When making a variation all attributes that are provided must be selected, we can’t omit a certain attribute for one variation, and include it for another variation of the same product. I’m looking for a way to add that functionality.

    Why can’t the colour for the Mercedes be one of the colour attributes. Its colour attribute need not be an actual colour, it could just be “dealer’s choice”.
