• Imagine you have not just a marketplace but a portal on which vendors can publish stories, like something about a new product or service just offered, a story about a trip to Bolivia where they’ve experienced the adventure of a life time.

Now imagine your vendor wants to post that story – but he cannot.

That is the problem with most (including this) multivendor and marketplace plugins. Their programmers are so fixated on the fact that the vendor only publishes products that they completely rejected the idea that a vendor could be wanting to publish something else than just products. Role editors don’t help either – the programmers saw to it to make them non-functional for any “Vendor” role.

So as of right now, this is a great plugin for a simple marketplace-centric site, but not well suited for sites allowing anything besides that.

  • Thanks for sharing your feedback on the plugin, @manni65929. I do agree that the most or all the multi-vendor plugin are marketplace-centric, so do we are too at present. Definitely, WC-Marketplace looks like the marketplace-centric plugin but being open to modification you can just mold your WC-Marketplace to sell products as well as to publish products (as you can check we have provided you the code snippet through support forum to do the same).

Being a newbie in compare to other plugins, we are all ears from the WC-Marketplace users in order to boost up our plugin to fulfill all their needs.

Surely we will work on making our plugin – a marketplace multi-purpose plugin. And hope that time you will award us with 5/5 rating 😉
