Support » Plugins » Demos of the plug-ins

  • Hi, I am browsing plug-ins to see if WordPress will be ok to use as a cms, but I can’t find demos of the plugins when I select one. If I choose ‘go to authors website’ sometimes it is in another language other than English, which is cool, but a demo would be better.

If I can’t see how it works and looks, then how do I know if it is what I need ?

Thanks for any help and thanks to all the contributors of WordPress and plugins.

the same way you know if a car is what you want or a new shit: you take it for a test drive, you try it on.

Plugins: you install them on your server — thats where they are demo’d.

WordPress is great as a CMS. As for demos, so authors have them on the author website or plugin website, some don’t. It’s really up to the author what they want to do. Some plugins are internal, and can’t really have a demo.

and some ppl dont want to set up a demo, and open up access to any part of their database to passer-byes.

I just figured that goes without saying.
Maybe I should give everyone the admin password to one of my sites so people can see WP-Security scan or SMS Text Message in action 🙂

we are talking about a percentage of ppl that think their posts are stored in files/a file somewhere. 😛

They dont even get the security implications of having a static HTML site — much less something that’s PHP/MySQL driven. >:|

Yeah where are those pesky posts anyway? I looked all over, even in wp-content but I couldn’t find them. Sneaky little buggers.
