demo.php won't install

I’m running Genesis 2.2 with News Pro child theme and I have installed the Meta Box plugin and was going to try to get the demo.php file installed to try to get some meta box stuff going on posts, but it will not install for me. I followed the instructions on the getting started page, but when I add the include ‘demo.php’; line to my functions.php fie and save, it just keeps redirecting me to the file’s page on Github. I also see this error:
