[Resolved] Democracy Poll question

  • I’ve gone through several pages of back posts about the Democracy Poll on the support forum but didn’t see exactly what I needed.

    I’ve installed DP and it’s active. I’ve created the poll. I already had the RunPHP plugin installed and I’ve had both visual editor boxes cleared. But when I go to either a post or a page to create the poll, nothing shows up.

    I insert this:
    <?php jal_democracy(); ?>

    With the number of my poll in the parenthesis. I make sure the runPHP box is checked, but I get a blank page with only my title showing up.

    I’m wondering if I’m missing a step somewhere? Should I need to insert something into my theme template or revise the democracy.php in some way that I’m not doing?

    Thanks for any hints!

  • I use Democracy and I do not have the number of the poll in the (). You should configure everything from the admin panel Manage –> Democracy. Put what you want in the poll and then activate it. If you have that bit of code in your template the poll should show up (remember, it has to be active). Then when you deactivate it the poll is gone.

    This allows you to make a different poll without having to edit the template each time.

    Oh, taking the number out did it. I feel like such a dork, lol. Thanks for your response!
