Hi and thanks for your help in advanced.
I would like to remove the grey margins on the side of my page and extend the central area to be full screen.
How can i go about doing this? Here is my page http://www.solarintsys.com
Thanks a lot.
If you are trying to remove the grey margins, you could change the body background colour to white. That would make it appear that there is no margins, just a full white background. This would be my suggestion, and a very simple change.
As for stretching the content area, you'd need to edit the CSS for each individual area, making a lot of design decisions in the process. Most people optimize for certain browser sizes (1024 x 768, 1280 x 854, et cetera.) Making it larger often compromises a design in my opinion, unless done extremely well. (There's a lot of chatter about responsive design now.) I did a quick Google search and found this list of screen resolutions. I typically optimize for 1024 x 768. With your site, I can resize the window's width to 1081 before the horizontal scrollbar appears.
Hope this helps!
