 * I’m deleting the following plugins because I can’t get them to work, and the
   instructions are not complete.
 * For instance, in Widgets the “read me” says you should be able to leave certain
fails where they are. Doesn’t work for me. I recommend rewriting the “read me”
to detail where files need to go. Say nothing about “should” or “might” or “could”,
only that the files in question must be moved to another location in the WP directory,
and where. Don’t take chances with code.
 * Also had trouble with the AWStats and AXS-WP integration plugins.
 * On the other hand, the Incoming Links plugin is working fine. Just don’t have
any incoming links yet. 🙂 And why is it working fine? Because it’s simple. As
one Lt. Commander Montgomery Scott of the Starship Enterprise once said, “The
more you complicate the workings, the easier it is to stop up the plumbing.”

 * I installed Alex King’s Last Visit plugin without a hitch back in the days of
WP 1.2 – others had huge problems.
 * Matt’s “Post Times” plugin which was very easy caused mass problems for many –
and was a breeze for others.
 * Thousands install WP without a problem daily – but some post here.
 * If something does not work, start afresh, check the plugins author’s site / comments
and search here and use Google anyway. It’s surprising how many answers never
make it back to the forums.
 * It’s the way it is – and while readme’s are good and commented code is even better
the fact is for someone somewhere it won’t work.

 * [@podz](https://wordpress.org/support/users/podz/) you are 100% right. It always
happens, something works at first go with some people, while other’s has to do
lots of hits & tries, b’fore get those working.
 * And that is why forums and owers sites provides support at the best possible
way. But that alone cann’t & will not serve the purpose.
 * What I mean is, it is actually we people, when in trouble asks of the solution.
And once we get some or 100% tips, that solves their problem, never writes back.
 * If people, after their problems are solved writes back along with the code or
whatever worked towards their soultion will help others with similiar problems.
