Deleting or editing text on front page

  • tootles

    @tootles

    I am looking for a way to delete or edit text that appears above the sections on the front page.

    An example of what I am talking about is here:

    (The actual website I am working on is not accessible to the public yet, so I can’t link to that.)

    I would like to edit or delete the words FEATURED BLOG and NEWS POSTS – not the header.

    How can I do this? I can’t find anything on the dashboard.

    It is a university department website and the theme is a university template theme, so I don’t have much leeway re changing it.

    have you checked if these words have any unique css selectors you could use to hide them with css?

    You may need to modify the theme files, which it sounds like you don’t have access to. 🙁

    I can modify the existing theme via the dashboard, but that’s all.

    Ah! Then take a look through those files — probably index.php and the like — for the words you’re trying to change.

    Don’t have access at the moment, but I may in the near future. Will leave it for now.
