    Hello,

We need to be sure that when we upload a new version of a file, the old one is deleted from the server to eliminate any possible confusion.

I tested this using manage file and manage versions, which is very neat! I checked via FTP to be sure the old files were really gone from the server, and they were, except that the thumbnail images of various sizes were still there.

It would be great if these could be deleted when the doc is also deleted.

    Thanks.

    Hello-

I just checked again on trying to replace an old version by uploading a new version and then deleting the old one (using PDFs). Using the mDocs admin screen,
    Manage File > File uploader
    then
    Manage Versions > Delete

After deleting the old PDF file, it’s still on the server (via FTP) but the PDF extension is stripped off. However, when you look at the file in Acrobat, the file is complete and readable.

It also has the thumbnails if the thumbnails have been generated (I believe this happens only when the file is previewed).

So, we need a way to truly delete old versions, because we don’t want them coming up.

    Thank you!

    Hi,

the next version of mDocs will address these issues. I hope to have it out sometime next week.

    Cheers
