    We have been using Easy Appointments for 2 years. Everything has always worked well.
    We had the problem that booked appointments were set to status ” cancelled” on their own. The users had not clicked on the link in the email. When I confirmed the appointment again, it was set to “Canceled” again after a few minutes.

    The users all have the same web server (company with Office 365). The addresses Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail were not affected.
    When I removed the link for the cancellation in the confirmation mail, the problem was no longer there.

    I suspect that the mail server or the antivirus checks the link in the email and the appointment is cancelled as a result.
    Could this be possible?
    Do other users also have this problem?
    Could a confirmation be built into the website for the cancellation?

    Hi!

    Your observations are correct.

    Two-step confirmation is already a built-in feature of this plugin. It can be enabled under Settings -> Mail Notifications -> Two step action links in email.

    However, as discussed in this topic, it does not work properly. I.e., you enable it but it won’t ask if you really want to cancel. There is a simple fix but this fix has to be applied manually every time you update this plugin.

    Hi @briefmarke as already mentioned by @polistus you need to activate two step email action inside EA settings. This will prevent events to be cancelled by mail server check.
