    I created a category (lets call it category “X” ) that has 4000 products in it… But all these products are also linked to other categories. Now, I just want to delete category “X” as I no longer need it.. When I click delete under the X category, I get the red box around it indicating that is is deleting, but nothing happens after that. The category does not get deleted..

    When I try the same think on another category with fewer products (10-20 products), the category gets deleted right away.

    How can I delete category “X”?

    Can you clear browser cache as well as transients in WooCommerce > Status > Tools, and check if the category X still exists?

    Thank you for your reply… I followed your instructions… Category X still exists.

    I tried to delete it again, but same: I get the red box around it indicating that is is deleting, but nothing happens after that.. Gets stuck on the redbox. The category does not get deleted..

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update. Can you temporarily switch your theme to Storefront, disable all plugins except for WooCommerce, and delete the category again to see what happens?

    Ok I disabled all plugins except for WooCommerce… Changed Theme to storefront, then tried to delete Category X… Same results…. I get the red box around it indicating that is is deleting, but nothing happens after that.. Gets stuck on the redbox. The category does not get deleted..

    Thank you for the update. Could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.  Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.
