I used Fantastico De Luxe Installer to install WordPress in my new blog, I successfully Installed WordPress in the site, but due to some problem I had to delete it and then I went to the installer and clicked on Remove WordPress and removed it, Now when I try installing it, it says "You cannot install more than one script in the root directory of a domain".

So How do I deal with this problem ?

Maybe the easiest fix it to not use fantastico.
(I only ever used fantastico on my first install, I now do it manually since it gives me more control, like latest version, set table prefix etc.)

Download the wordpress zip file and unpack it on your PC. Use filezilla to upload it to your webhost. Create your database and so on. All the details are to be found here:

RossMitchell, Thanks for the reply but I've found a solution for the problem which incurred due to a mistake of mine. The following steps can be followed :-

    1.) Login to cPanel

2.) Then open Legacy File Manager.

3.) Click on Home Directory and Select show hidden files.

4.) Give permissions as 777 to .fantasticodata and Delete the file.

5.) Go to the Fantastico De Luxe Menu again and Re-install WordPress. That's it! The problem. Now my site is working fine. Thanks a lot for instant support :)
