 * When a user posts something in the forum and that user is later deleted from
   the site, the post reads ‘Deleted User’ in place of the users name.
 * Could we have an option to retain the users name as this is sometimes needed
   for reference. Perhaps you could retain the users name but differentiate it from
   others with maybe a ‘*’ or something similar.
 * Regards

 * Hello [@supernova42](https://wordpress.org/support/users/supernova42/)
 * Asgaros Forum retrieves all user-provided data from the user-management which
   is provided by WordPress. If an user now get removed from the database by deleting
   him, posts associated with his ID does not refer to an existing user anymore.
 * If you want to keep user-data, I suggest you to install a plugin which allows
   you to “disable” a certain user-account. In this case the user of a disabled/
   inactive account will not be possible to login anymore, but its data can still
   get processed by plugins like Asgaros Forum because the data remains inside of
   the system.
 * But an important sidenote for this: WordPress removes all personal user-related
   data from the system when deleting an user. Asgaros Forum does not collect/process
   any user-related data itself to ensure, that an user and website-owner has control
   of his data. This is especially important for countries with strict privacy laws/
   rules.

 * Is there a way that an administrator can access that deleted members data and
   assign it to another member. Administrators can already do with posts etc so
   why not do it with forum posts.

 * [@supernova42](https://wordpress.org/support/users/supernova42/) I will add this
   feature with the upcoming v1.13.3 release (which I plan to release next week).
   You can find the relevant GitHub-ticket for it here:
