• On every page in the aforementioned website, there is what appears to be an old contact form 7 ghosting the bottom; almost as if it’s in a footer but it’s not.

I had at one time installed Contact Form 7, and along with an image of the old contact form title you can see, “[contact-form-7 id=”443″ title=”Contact Us / Prayer Request”]”

I’ve completely deleted Contact Form 7 plugin. I’ve checked everywhere I know to see WHY this is appearing and can’t make head nor tail out of it. I just want to get rid of this messy appearance. I use Ninja Forms now and it seems to work fine. Any help appreciated.

  • That’s a shortcode to display a contact Form 7 form. That doesn’t get removed form your site when you disable/delete the Contact Form 7 plugin.

Looking at the code, it looks like that shortcode was added using a text widget. That should be easy to find and update/remove. In your admin area, go to ‘Appearance -> Widgets’ and you’ll see a list of sidebars. One of those will be what is appearing in your sites footer, and it will contain the widget that is displaying that shortcode. Just find that and update it to whatever it needs to be now.
