Deleted Parent Category – missing child categories

    I deleted some of my parent categories that had child categories. Now those child categories seem to be hidden somewhere, because I can’t recreate them.

    For instance, I want to create a category called “biking” but it says there already is a category named biking. It’s not on my list, and I cannot access it to edit or delete it.

    Where can I access these categories, or BETTER YET, what file can I reinstall to WIPE OUT my categories so I can start anew?

    heh, i just posted the exact same problem, but i want the child ones back!

    I have exactly the same problem! and I cannot recreate the child categories – says that they already exist, but they do not show in the categories listing under categories management – please help!!
