I deleted an older version of Advanced Feature Post Widget, and now WP won’t install the newer version because the destination folder already exists. (/home4/mynewter/public_html/wp-content/plugins/recent-posts-widget-extended/)
I’m a total newbie at this…how can I get rid of my ‘old’ destination folder so that I can do a new install?

By just deleting the folder via ftp.

And the folder /home4/mynewter/public_html/wp-content/plugins/recent-posts-widget-extended/ in not mine. The plugin’s folder is called /home4/mynewter/public_html/wp-content/plugins/advanced-featured-post-widget/
