Support » Plugin: WPMU Database Reset » Deleted My Site

  • I used this plugin and my site was deleted, or I can’t login as an admin anymore. I can’t access any of my plugins, I can’t install any plugins, I get errors when I try to do just about anything. Themes don’t show up in the theme section anymore. Just blank tiles.

    How can I fix this?

    Hi,

So, good news is I have found the issue and it is patched up in the new update (the plugin was removing users table when it was used on the main website on the network). Bad news is since the database tables are removed on your installation they can’t be restored unless you have backup. You could make a new installation of WordPress, add the websites in the network then import the database tables from the old installation, although slight adjustments may be necessary to make it work.

Always back up your website before making significant changes. Just in case something like this happens. Not all plugins are adequately tested before being added to WordPress.org repository. This is a good example of that.

This kind of bug or oversight should have been checked for.

It should have. I’m sorry about that.
In my defense, I wrote the plugin specifically for using in sites in a network (hence the name and the plugin description), I tested the current available solutions and neither worked for network sites, so I developed this to fill in that gap, not to replace others.

It’s fixed. That is the big thing.

However, “Always back up your site before making significant changes.”

    Glad it’s working now 🙂
