 * Has anybody had a member successfully subscribe to a subscription at the gateway(
   in this case PayPal), but not have the user appear in the database. The user_id
   in the wp_pmpro_membership_orders table is 0.

 * I have seen this issue a while back in some odd cases.
 * Would you mind telling me what flavor of PayPal you are using, version of PMPro
   and if you are running any other plugin that might alter user registration/logins?
