Deleted HOme Page

    I’ve accidentally deleted my home page on the site. So, it just now reads Page Not Found….
    How do I put the “home” page back onto the site?

    I tried Re-Installing WordPress Automatically through the dashboard and that didn’t fix anything.

    Also, I added a new index.html in my webhost, and that didn’t do anything either.
    Where should I be adding the index.html file, if I need to put it back on my webhost.

    ok i figured it out…went into trash and restored it….duhh…teaching myself wordpress & apparently learning slowly! 😛

    What do you mean you deleted the home page?

    Did you delete an index.php file, or did you go in via the WP admin section and delete a page?

    If it’s the latter, you need to re-create your home page or restore your DB from a backup.

    It MAY still be in your WordPress trash. Go to yoursite.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=page and see if there’s a link to ‘trash’ next to ‘All’ and ‘Published’.
