• Hi Alan,

We’re having a caching issue with the plugin. Here’s what happens:

    – Upload a file
    – Delete said file, make a change
    – File URL is NOT deleted, can still load deleted file
    – Upload a new version of the file, with the same name as the original/now deleted file
    – File doesn’t update with new version
    – If opened in a different browser, SOMETIMES it does show the updated file but sometimes not. It may be a matter of waiting, but I wanted to run it by you in case you had any ideas.

We are able to see the updated (v2) version of the file when we add this to the end of the URL: ?v=1

    Like this: https://www.housecanary.com/wp-content/uploads/_assets/ces-test-3.pdf?v=1

Do you know why caching would be so severe with the files we upload to the plugin? Any way to fix this? We will be updating files quite often using this plugin, so let me know if you can help!

    Thanks for your assistance!!

    ~Vasty

If will often appear that a deleted/replaced image was not deleted due to caching. The simple way to deal with this is after you delete an image, when you upload its replacement, the file needs to have a different name. That will force the browser to load the new version. Otherwise, you will need to clear the site’s cache and your browser cache to view the correct version of the image.
