  • huh?

I believe he is asking why are the core wordpress prefixed with wp_ instead of being just normally named files.

Personally, I don’t see it as a real issue and in the event I run multiple scripts in the same directory, the prefixed files will not conflict, however, to each is to their own :).

Yes, you’re understood right. In my opinion is a ‘mouvais ton’. And default mysql prefix “wp_” is superfluous.

Don’t know, but you can change them before you install (in the wp-config.php you change it to something else) and the WP security scan plugin can do the changing for you when you’re already up and running. I don’t know if you can leave it out entirely.

Thank’s for link for plug-in, may be helpful in future. But i don’t mean any security issues. However, it is just my opinion that wp would look nicer if even files would look cleaner, smarter. 🙂
