Support » Plugin: Import and export users and customers » Delete users that are NOT in csv

  • Once a week I want to import actual csv with WP users. It’s no problem to add new users or update existing. I want users that are not in the csv but they are in WP user database to be removed. In Cron job I can add a checkmark but not with manual import. Any options?

    @jberings,

    Good afternoon, yes, this option to delete users not present in the CSV is included in cron version but not in manual one.

    It would be interesting to include it?

    I would be very interested in making this feature work in manual mode. This is a feature I desperately need for my clients. Thank you!

    @dmoerschel,

    Ok that’s perfect. Please write me to contacto AT codection DOT com and then we can start talking about how to do it.

    Thanks to you.

    Hi Javier,

    I have the same problem – at the moment I have to delete all users and import a csv file to ensure that all ex-users are removed. So it would be very helpful to be able to manually do this.

    Simultaneously, when we upload a new csv file, can/could it leave passwords unchanged for existing users even when our file includes a password for them? ie At the moment, I delete all users for a given role and then upload a new csv with the current user’s details, including a unique password. If they haven’t changed their password since we originally added them, this isn’t a problem, but if they have, then the password is changed to the one that we gave them and they have to change it back again. This is a monthly occurrence :-(. So, if you can introduce a ‘delete ex-users’ option in your manual upload that maintains the passwords of existing users but uploads the ones for the new users only that’d be very helpful. For this to function, I think that the upload routine would need to check if a user is already on the system and, if they are, ignore the password contained in the new file because our csv file creation routine wouldn’t know when to leave the password field blank as per your current system.

    I hope that this makes sense!

    @mgwatson,

    Good afternoon, sorry but none have supported the develop of the “delete users not present in CSV when the upload is manual”.

    If you want to support it, let’s go ahead.

    Respect to the second requirements, this is not so easy but can do also.

    Tell me directly in contacto@codection.com if you are interested in this two new functionality.

    Thanks.

    Javier
