• I get the error:

Your AdSense account is different from the one registered for this site. Please contact your site owner.

I have a google site verification meta tag currently on my home page lionsvalleyathletics.com for a google account that is mine but its a google account that should be linked with another website. This is meta tag that needs to be removed: <meta name=”google-site-verification” content=”mj8WY7JlnrbWZf-QTgop4YLbqBgq_Zbv0Pab5kHmvVM” /> and it can be found on line 179 of the code.

I do not know how to just remove the line of code (line 179) and if that will be permanent or if it will return.

I have checked all my plugins that use the google site verification meta tag (Adsense, Yoast SEO, Jetpack, and WordPress Available Tools) and they all have the proper meta tag: p7m2NHDDa8cULbcl8I-sPk9lUcEruPrh2oMNEHNSDnI so I don’t know where to begin. I do believe that this is whats preventing me from having an Adsense account for each business.

    Can anyone please help me?

  • Hi Dusmithy,

Did you figure out how to do this. I have the same issue and have no idea how to remove the meta name. It would be great if I can get this info.

Nope, no help yet and no idea what to do!

Ok, somebody sent me an email to explain. I haven’t done it yet. Will try it later. It is through my host, though. If you want, I can email it to you

Can you post the solution here or e-mail to me? I am having the same issue
