Support » Fixing WordPress » Delete the default page query

  • Hello,

I was wondering if, in case I’m going to use only custom query, I have to delete the default page query, to save server resources.
What is the right way to handle this situation?

  • so it would be correct if with query_posts I shut down all the query and then I make my custom query with WP_Query? if yes, how to shut down the query with query_posts?

Did you review the page I listed above?

    yes sure,
but what I understand is that with the function query_post I can overwrite some parameters.
My question was if is possible to reset completely the query, and not only overwrite or add. The purpose of all this questions is that I would like to make the server works little as I can. But probably if I reset all the query I’m going to touch others important stuff.. is it correct?

    thanks again!
