# Delete posts

 * Hi, I have the following Problem:
   My Editors cant delete posts of the CPT because
   they dont have the rights for it, how can I change that?Thank you in advance!

 * Did you change the “capabilities” spot away from “post” for the post types in
   question? If yes, easiest thing to do would be to change that back.

 * Have you customized user roles/capabilities at all? Beyond that, I believe the“
   Editor” role should be able to delete the posts in the post type. So something
   is definitely going on.

 * If you provide the export code from CPTUI > Tools > Post Types tab, I can import
   and see if I can recreate the issue on my own install, but beyond that, I’m not
   sure what may be going on with this, and I don’t have access to the install to
   poke around for other clues.

 * As is, I’m not managing to recreate any issue with an “editor” user role and 
   deleting content from the post type using the settings above. So I’m not sure
   what may be going on or why at the moment.
 * Have there been any major changes that happened with the site, perhaps right 
   before this issue was noticed?

 * installed the plugin set it up and that’s it

 * I don’t have any new leads or ideas for what’s going on, and not able to recreate
   on my own, so I’m not sure what to suggest at the moment. Something is definitely
   going on but it’s feeling very specific to your site alone.
