    Hi
What is best practice to delete an order? If I simply delete the order, the number of free tickets does not change and the order is still in the OpenTickets report – If I change the order to 0 and put the price to 0 save and then delete the order, it works fine and the order is removed from the report.

Earlier, I just deleted the order and then released the order in advanced tools under system status. But for some reason, it does not work anymore. It tells me that the order is not in DB. The same happens in advanced tools if I try to release an order for tickets that are in the basket on unfinished orders.

Right now I am on version 2.8.5
    and Woocommerce 3.1.2

    Thanks in advance

    Hello,

The best practice for deleting an order is as follows:
    1. Place the order on Hold.
    2. Remove Ticket from the order
    3. Then deleted order
    4. Empty the Trash with the deleted order
    5. Lastly clear your browser cache

The ticket should be released however if you deleted it from the order and doing this should elimate the need to use the Advance Tools. However once the ticket is removed/deleted from the order it will not show up in the Advance Tools. If the order was deleted with the tickets still attached then you will still be able to locate the ticket to release it within the Advance Tools Tab.

    Hope this was help.

Thank you very much – I will use that method in the future. I’m just wondering why I can’t release from advanced Tool any more. I’m sure it has worked before. But never mind, now I know the right way to do it, thanks
