Hi, I created a recurring template for (I thought) every Sunday. Now it appears that it creates an event for every Saturday. I can’t find that template anywhere listed. How to delete it / stop it creating this unwanted events?

There’s a RSVPMaker Templates submenu item on the dashboard under RSVP Events. Have you already looked there?

If there’s confusion about which template, try going to one of the problem events listings. On the black admin bar that appears at the top of the screen when you’re logged in, one of the RSVPMaker menu items should be Edit Template if the event was created from a template.

Hi, my website is set to Dutch, so to be sure: you mean the menu-item with the url /wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=rsvpmaker&page=rsvpmaker_template_list ? That screen doesn’t display any planned templates.
Also the dropdown on /wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=rsvpmaker&page=rsvpmaker_details doesn’t display templates, only single events without template.

    Try /wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=rsvpmaker&rsvpsort=templates

The posts screen for RSVPMaker shows future events by default, but you can filter for templates. My guess is the template might be still in the system but in the trash. And the templates listing only shows published documents.

I’ll add something in a future release to check post_status before running the routine that automatically generates future events according to the template schedule. Have to check the code, but pretty sure it doesn’t do that now.

There are no templates displayed on that page. If I select ‘all’ there’s also no event that looks like the one that is generated automatically. I don’t know when they appear, but it seems once a day or so.

I cleaned trash this evening, will look again tomorrow.

Thanks for looking for a fix! This plugin is really helpful in this Covid-19 pandemic period for us 🙂

Please install version 8.6 and let me know if that solves the problem.

It looks like it worked. Or at least, I’ve waited 24 hours and don’t see the unwanted event showing up again (because of the fix or because I deleted the trash).

I now only don’t understand why my events are listed with an English word for the day in “%A %e %B %Y”, while other texts are in Dutch (NL_nl). Might not because of this update, but I don’t know if I changed something the last time to set it to Dutch.. 🤔
