# Delete Internal Pingbacks

 * Hi,
 * Is there any way to prevent my blog from sending pingbacks to itself? It seems
   really useless and I have to go in and delete them all the time.

 * Go into your Options page then “Discussions.”
 * At the top is “Usual settings for an article” Make sure the first box is _unchecked_:[“
   Attempt to notify any Weblogs linked to from the article (slows down posting.)”]
