• I submitted a post two months ago, and it was resolved shortly afterwards. I didn’t realize that my queries would be searchable online, and my website was included in that post. I understand that you have deleted personal info before for other people, and I’m hoping you’re willing to do the same for me. It’s coming up in searches, and it could be perceived as damaging. I assure you that I won’t repeat this mistake again.

  • It is not the general policy to edit or delete forum posts. When a post is made and people contribute answers to an issue, that then becomes part of the community resource for others to benefit from. Editing or deleting posts removes this added value. In extreme circumstances, the moderation team might be persuaded to remove sensitive information but. generally, your best course of action is not to publish anything that you wouldn’t want to be public.

I’m sorry but this is not an extreme case.

I’m not asking for anything more than for you to delete my website address. I’m not concerned about the rest of the post. There’s no loss to the community by deleting my website address, and it IS hurting my business by making it look like there is a problem with my shopping cart, to anyone who does a search on my business.

I ask you to please reconsider deleting my website address from the post.

I’m sorry but this is not an extreme case.
