# Delete Image Files?

 * Hi,
 * I want to make sure what the “Delete Image Files?” option means. Does it delete
   image files from the Media library completely so I will lose access to them? 
   Or does it delete only from a gallery that I’m going to delete so those images
   will stay in the Media library?
 * let me know please.

   default, does not use the WordPress Media Library and would not affect those 
   images when using the NextGEN Gallery feature to delete images.
 * The images being affected would only be those managed by NextGEN Gallery.
